Dummy Defense FAQ
Codes only confirm in fresh or private servers — that's official. Matchmaking doesn't work for Noob Experiment. Console controls: R2 place, R1 upgrade, L2 sell, L1 retarget.
Codes, unlocks and lobbies cause most of the head-scratching in Dummy Defense, so here are the questions players actually ask — answered from the game's own descriptions and community wiki data, checked September 30, 2026.
Codes and rewards
A brand-new code says "invalid" — why? Codes are registered when a server starts, so a lobby that has been running for hours doesn't know about the newest ones yet. The official advice is to retry in a fresh server or a private server, and that single step resolves most failed redemptions.
Still not working? Check for typos first — codes are case-sensitive and some contain deliberate misspellings. Remember each code can only be claimed once per account, and event codes get retired in later patches. The current live five are tracked on the codes page and re-checked regularly.
Where do codes get announced? The game's public description and its official community channels — milestone codes, like the 30,000-likes code, appear there when they drop.
Progression questions
How do I unlock Autoskip? Beat Guest Mode (the medium mode) once. The toggle then appears in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
How does the Ability system unlock? Beat Noob Battalion once; abilities are then purchased in the Ability shop with Bricks and cast with Gold.
How do I get 1.5x game speed? Beat Controller Mode — the same badge is also required to buy Titan Scale Dummy. (A 2x option exists for gamepass holders.)
How do I enter Noob Experiment? It's hidden: in map selection, scroll to crossroads (the map marked EVENT), select it, then click "normal mode" twice in the mode menu to cast your vote. Matchmaking does not work for this mode.
What's the fastest Bricks farm? Noob Experiment clears pay 4,750 Bricks and 2,000 exp — the richest verified payout — and the five live codes add about 2,000 more in a single one-time sweep. Full math on the Bricks & Cash page.
Matchmaking & servers
- Noob Experiment has no working matchmaking. Use the crossroads vote route above rather than sitting in a queue.
- Servers hold up to 30 players, and everything is cross-play across PC, mobile and console.

Platform & controls
Dummy Defense runs on Roblox, so PC, mobile and console are all supported with cross-play. Controls are shown in-game; on console, the official button map is:

Tips for new players
- Redeem the five codes before your first match — roughly 2,000 Bricks is a serious head start.
- Don't hoard Cash. It only comes from damage, and idle towers earn nothing — upgrade what's already shooting.
- Play the modes in order (Noob, then Guest, then Noob Battalion); those clears switch on Autoskip and the Ability shop early.
- Respect hidden waves. Ninja Noobs pay no Cash and ignore towers without hidden detection — the enemies page lists every unit's traits.
